Stellar Senior HomeCare, Inc. (formerly known as 
Stellar Living Assistance, Inc.) was founded in 2003 in memory of Grandma and Mother-In-Law Estelle Root. At age 85 “Stelle” was still independent at home but becoming more frail. It became evident that she required an alternative to being home alone. 
Stelle did not need to go to a nursing home and Assisted Living Facilities were cost prohibitive. For several months we attempted to take care of her long distance, but it became increasingly apparent that this was not the best alternative for Stelle, and was also very taxing on the family. Unfortunately, Stelle sickened and was hospitalized. In March of 2002 Stelle died a peaceful death. It was
because of the hardships that we went through, that our mission was born:
To lighten the burden and worry of family caregivers and to enable the independence of Seniors in their own homes by providing trained staff to assist in the activities of leading a full life.
